Welcome to Kyokushin Karate at Coogee.

 Sempai Julie Portley (nidan)

Kyokushin karate provides specialised training program to develop flexibilty, strength, speed, balance and power incorporating various traditional and modern methods to help you get fit again.

Through Kyokushin training and grading system, students are guaranteed to improve their skills of concentration, focus, confidence and determination.

Our dojo is open to students of all ages and levels of skill. Students as young as 6 and as old as 55 can start Kyokushin training.

Apart from normal training we also offer grading system, Kyokushin camps and special training for competitions (see the Events link).
We encourage  our students to compete on a regular basis, on a local, state, interstate and international level.

We are part of the Australian Kyokushin Karate Association (AKKA).

Kyokushin karate with its full-contact training is recognised world-wide as the strongest form of karate.
